TATTOO

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these simple instructions for quick and easy healing.

1.Leave bandage on overnight. Do not peel off early to look at it or show your friends, this can introduce infection!

2.In the morning, soak bandage in the shower with warm soapy water so it doesn’t stick to the tattoo. Wash area thoroughly and rinse. Gently pat dry with a clean towel. Do not re-bandage! Wash tattoo once a day unless you are working in a dirty environment. If so, keep the area covered with adequate clothing to prevent attracting dirt. After work, wash tattoo thoroughly.

3.Do not apply any lotion the day after receiving the tattoo. This will allow it to breathe and completely seal. Starting on the second day after, apply a small amount of lotion an hour after you wash (so the skin is totally dry.) Apply 2 to 4 times a day, less at first. Too much will smother the skin. If a rash or redness occurs, stop using altogether. Less is better! Avoid using greasy ointments- Do not use Vaseline! it has no healing properties!

4. 3-5 days after receiving your tattoo, it will begin to flake and peel like a sunburn, a few small scabs may occur. Do not scratch, rub, or pick at your tattoo while it’s healing! When it really itches bad, a small amount of hand lotion will soothe it. Most flakes will fall off within 7-10 days. A new shiny layer of skin will be in place and the tattoo will be healed. Your skin will return to normal within 4-6 weeks.

5.Do not soak in a tub or whirlpool, swim, or steam in a sauna for 2 weeks!

6.Do not tan for 2 weeks. After that, cover tattooed area with total sun block, especially for indoor tanning.

7.During this time if you have any questions, please call us. If any symptoms or signs of an infection develop, consult a physician or contact us immediately.

8.Proper care on your part will ensure quick healing and a great looking tattoo!
